# Discord Rules

These rules are actively enforced by our staff team. If you spot someone breaking them and no staff are online, please submit a report ticket via Discord.

Not every situation can be listed here, we expect players to use **common sense**. If something feels wrong, it probably is.

## 1. Respect Everyone

Treat everyone with kindness and respect — no exceptions. If someone is being disrespectful, **report it** instead of retaliating.

**Offense → Punishment**

* 1st: Verbal Warning
* 2nd: 1h Timeout
* 3rd: 6h Timeout
* 4th+: \~1d Timeout

## 2. No Inappropriate Content

Sapling is a clean, welcoming community. The following are **not allowed anywhere** (Discord, in‑game, skins, usernames, item names, etc.):

* Inappropriate or offensive usernames, skins, or item renames
* Political content or discussions (including global/world conflicts)
* Sexual or explicit content → **Instant permanent ban**

**Offense → Punishment**

* 1st: Verbal Warning
* 2nd: 6h Timeout
* 3rd: 1d Timeout
* 4th+: \~3d Timeout
* Sexual/Explicit: **Permanent Ban**

## 3. No Harassment, Bullying, or Hate Speech

Do not intentionally make others uncomfortable. This includes harassment, targeted comments, hate speech, or repeatedly bothering someone after they’ve asked you to stop.

Examples:

* Repeated unwanted DMs
* Pressuring or provoking others
* Ignoring boundaries

**Offense → Punishment**

* 1st: Verbal Warning
* 2nd: 6h Timeout
* 3rd: 1d Timeout
* 4th+: \~3d Timeout

## 4. No Spamming or Excessive Caps

Keep chat readable and enjoyable for everyone.

Not allowed:

* Message spam
* Excessive capital letters
* Emoji spam
* Zalgo text
* Repeated images or formatting abuse

**Offense → Punishment**

* 1st: Verbal Warning
* 2nd: 1h Timeout
* 3rd: 12h Timeout
* 4th+: \~1d Timeout

## 5. No Advertising

Advertising other servers or communities is strictly prohibited.

This includes:

* In‑game chat
* Private messages
* Discord channels
* Discord DMs
* Social media posts
* QR codes
* External links promoting other servers

**Offense → Punishment**

* 1st: Ban

## 6. Do Not Share Personal Information

For your safety, do **not** share:

* Full name
* Email or home address
* Phone number
* Banking details
* Social security / national insurance info

Also prohibited:

* Sharing explicit or NSFW content of yourself or others
* Sexual imagery (photos, videos, edited, or AI‑generated)

**Offense → Punishment**

* 1st: Verbal Warning
* 2nd: 1d Timeout
* 3rd+: Ban

## 7. No Threats of Any Kind

Threats are taken extremely seriously.

Not allowed:

* DDoS threats
* Doxxing
* Physical threats
* “Joke” threats

**Offense → Punishment**

* 1st: 1d Timeout
* 2nd+: Ban

## 8. No Impersonation

Do not pretend to be someone you’re not.

This includes impersonating:

* Sapling staff
* Other community members
* Law enforcement or government officials

* 2nd+: Ban
